ABOUT THE SHOW
G.I.F.T.S. is a beautiful blend of tributes to iconic American leaders of faith, history, music, literature and theater. It is highly energetic and audience interactive with Gato continuously asking questions and involving everyone in attendance.
S.P.L.A.S.H. stands for Songs Poetry Limericks Acting Speeches History, all of which are celebrated throughout the show. Gator has made a great living doing incredible impressions of our most beloved celebrities. His long list of venues includes: NBC comedy special, Guest on Howard Stern’s show, TV commercials, and appearances on radio. Gator uses his spot on impressions to both entertain and to pay tribute to his many American heroes.
Songs Among the many popular hits you will hear (and see!) are Elvis singing Amazing Grace, Louie Armstrong singing What a Wonderful World, Dean Martin singing That’s Amore, Jimmy Durante singing Make Someone Happy, and many more!
Poetry You will hear some of Shakespeare’s sonnets, the best of Robert Frost, William Wordsworth, Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, and many other of the greatest poets. Close your eyes and you will think it is actually Sean Connery in person reciting She Walks in Beauty. Howard Stern was so enamored of Gator’s impression of Sean Connery that he had him do it throughout his show.
Limericks Gator had one of his best shows in Dublin, Ireland. He loves the Irish and especially the Limericks from the old country. Although Gator’s Irish accent is his most popular, his accents of the English, the Scottish, the Australian and the French are also very much in demand.
Acting Audiences around the country not only love the spot on voice impression that Gator does of Jack Nicholson, but they also greatly enjoy how he actually looks like him, as well. Speaking of looks, Gator’s tribute to Robin Williams is so hugely popular that he generally closes the show with him. His greatest honor was actually meeting Robin in person and also being on the same NBC Comedy Special with his hero!
Speeches Audiences around the country are often moved by Gator’s rendition of some of the most renowned speeches in history. The long list includes: Abraham Lincoln’s first inaugural address, Nelson Mandela’s speech about Our Greatest Fear, Edward Kennedy’s eulogy for his brother, and many others.
Humor Having spent most of his life as a comedian, Gator takes his greatest pleasure in paying tribute to his many heroes of stand-up comedy. Most popular with audiences are: Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, Rodney Dangerfield, and Jim Carrey.
